Sunscreen: The Most Important Product in your Anti-aging Skincare Routine

I have mentioned this product in a couple of posts now, but I believe it deserves a post of its own: Sunscreen.

Sunscreen is an essential part of my daily skincare routine.  Even on days when I am not wearing makeup, I put sunscreen on my face and neck.  This is because the sun's harmful rays are out year round, and sunscreen helps to prevent skin cancer, as well as pesky wrinkles.  It's an important tool in my skincare routine and a product I cannot live without, both for health and beauty reasons.

Sunscreen is the most important tool in your beauty and anti-aging skincare routine. It helps prevent skin cancer as well as fine lines and wrinkles.

There are many dual-purpose moisturizers and foundations with SPF built in, but studies have shown that the effectiveness of the sunscreen is diminished when mixed with these products.  So it's best to wear a stand-alone sunscreen under your makeup after you've applied your moisturizer.

The idea of putting a layer of chemicals on my skin is not appealing, which is why I look for a sunscreen that is a physical block made with minerals instead of potentially harmful chemicals.  I have tried many and always come back to this particular product by Australian Gold.

Many mineral sunscreens can leave a white film on your body, but not this one.  This sunscreen is formulated to be tinted, so it actually evens out the skin tone just a tiny bit.

Many sunscreens can leave your skin shiny and greasy.  Not this one.  It has a powdery finish that also mattifies the skin.  It is a great sunscreen to wear alone or under a foundation; it serves as a fantastic primer.

Did I mention that this sunscreen is affordable?  You don't have to break the bank to protect your skin.  You can also check out this post featuring 5 affordable and effective skincare products for more budget-friendly ideas.

Another bonus to this sunscreen is that it has an eco-conscious formulation and is cruelty-free.  You can feel good about putting this product on your skin every day.

Do you use sunscreen daily?

Instead of using a toner for body beauty skin care, you should periodically exfoliate the skin on your body with a loofah or bath sponge to unclog your pores. Skin Care Tips
